INTERNSHIP IN
LAS CATALINAS, COSTA RICA
Following the Civic Hall Design Competition's student category, I earned a 4-week internship at one of the world's most recognizable and successful new urbanist towns. Tasked with creating marketing materials through on-site sketches, the focal point of my internship was contributing to the design of the phase two masterplan of El Prado. I played a pivotal role in shaping their new outdoor pedestrian mall, which I aptly named "La Rambla." This involved not only designing the landscape and water feature placements but also integrating various architectural features into the overall plan. The experience was a hands-on opportunity to apply my skills in real-world urban design, contributing to the continued success of this renowned new urbanist development.
